NIFDC Seeks Opinions on How to Name New Plant/Fermented Cosmetic Ingredients

To implement the "Opinions of the NMPA on Deepening the Reform of Cosmetic Supervision and Promoting High-Quality Development of the Industry" and the "Several Provisions on Supporting Innovation of Cosmetic Ingredients," and to further standardize and guide the naming of new cosmetic raw materials, in accordance with relevant regulations and documents, the NIFDC has drafted the "Technical Guidelines for Naming New Ingredients in Plant-Derived Cosmetics (Draft for Comments)" and the "Technical Guidelines for Naming New Ingredients in Fermented Cosmetics (Draft for Comments)," along with explanatory notes (Annex 1-4), and is soliciting public comments. Companies can submit their feedback form (Annex 5) via email to hzpxyl@nifdc.org.cn before December 26, 2025.
