To implement the NMPA's "Several Provisions on Supporting Innovation of Cosmetic Ingredients" and strengthen the service and application transformation of new ingredient innovation, the NIFDC (National Institute for Drug Control) conducted the first round of solicitation for guidance on innovative cosmetic ingredients through provincial drug regulatory authorities, focusing on four areas: first-to-market, unique to my country, domestic substitution, and green and low-carbon. Following initial screening, expert evaluation, and video presentations, 16 ingredients were selected for proposed innovation guidance.
***Inclusion in the innovation guidance list does not imply endorsement of their quality and safety; further research and development and registration or filing are still required according to relevant requirements. The NIFDC will provide early intervention and comprehensive guidance for relevant products, increasing efforts to cultivate innovative products and contributing to the high-quality development of the cosmetic industry.
